If you’ve ever been to Nashville, you might quickly learn there are quite a few outlying cities/towns that:
- Are growing in population
- Have amazing places to visit whether it’s food, music, or historic landmarks
- Are only a short drive from Nashville
One of those growing suburbs southeast of Music City is Smyrna, Tennessee; population: 39,974. I recently drove Pearl the Nissan down to Solid Rock, a great shop especially if you’re a teacher, looking for used/new textbooks, homeschooling material and/or hands-on-learning devices.
There’s also something else you’ll find there… my book! Kellye (the owner) and I became instant friends and I have a feeling if you meet her, you’ll have a new friend as well. She’s so personable and great to chat with. So after a good convo I made my way back home but left a part of me behind… the book I cherish so much. At the time of writing this there are 5 books available there, so please won’t you stop by to take a look? And at the very least be encouraged by chatting with Kellye!

Hi there folks! I don’t know if it’s March Madness or all the peanut butter but I feel like offering up a smooth deal this weekend! I want to send you an autographed book, for only $12 which is less than you’ll find it anywhere online, plus free shipping in the U.S. That’s a sweet 16 moment if there ever was one 😉
All you need to do is send me a message here or at email@example.com and we can arrange shipping and payment. On behalf of all the wonders mentioned in Big and Small, God Made Them All, and myself, and the peanut butter, of course… THANK YOU!
My project “Big and Small: Nicaragua” is over but I’m happy that family, friends, and friends of friends were willing to take a small leap with me. The backstory is for every 10 eBooks sold of my book Big and Small, God Made Them All, an actual physical book would be donated to Club Esperanza in Managua, Nicaragua. My friend from college lives and works down there so because of a number of eBooks being downloaded, I’ll be sending books to Nicaragua very soon.
I love coming up with projects like this that are fun for me, but also potentially impact children in a country I’ve never even been to. We all need Jesus, whether we’re millionaires, thousandaires, young, old, man, woman, kid, lonely, happy, tall, short, skinny, not so skinny, everyone. Jesus came to our world for everyone, and if my book can play a part in a child (or adult) being nudged a little more towards Him, then hey, that’s a win.
I’ll have more updates and hopefully some pictures when the books make it down there! Thanks again for being involved with my project, as my friend Andrea would say… you ROCK!
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Joshua, book guru at the ThriftSmart near my house, so I recently swung by and dropped off a couple of my books and they’re already on display! Hey, if you’re in the south Nashville area near Nolensville Road, stop in to Thriftsmart and shop around. They have lots of great stuff for sale and while you’re there, pick up my book for under a couple bucks. One is even autographed 😉
